Kermit the Frog once said, “It’s not easy being green.” Western Home Furnishings Association is trying to change that statement for the home furnishings retailer. Our mission is to promote sustainable business practices within the home furnishings retail community by offering knowledge and resources that encourage members to become more eco-friendly in their day-to-day operations. With consumers becoming more aware of the environment and what our daily activities do to it, retailers should pay attention to their business practices and how they can be adapted in order to be more eco-friendly.
WHFA’s Online Sustainable Business Practices section will educate, inspire and aid you in implementing sustainable business practices in your business. You will find numerous links to green retailers, industry organizations and educational articles — and you will see that it is easy to be green.
